  • Arrival by plane:

Cristoforo Colombo Airport

The airport of Genova Cristoforo Colombo (GOA) is the most rapid and immediate connection with the Italian and European cities. There are daily direct flights from/to Rome, London, Paris, Munich. Located in Sestri Ponente, around 6 km from the city centre it is well connected to the city by both train and bus, the bus “AMT 100 Volabus” (Volabus Shuttle) departs every 30 mins. and brings passengers direct to the City Centre. Making only three stops: the two main railways stations (Genova Piazza Principe and Genova Brignole) and Piazza De Ferrari, one of Genoa’s central squares. The transfer takes 25 mins. and tickets cost €6.00.

By Plane from/to another Airport

Milan airports, Malpensa (MPX), Linate (LIN) and Orio al Serio (BGY), as well as Pisa airport (PSA) and Nice Côte d'Azur airport (NCE) are also easily reachable from Genova either by car (2 to 3 hours) by bus or by train, and connected to many destinations, also through low-cost companies. Direct bus transfers are available from Milan & Nice to Genoa, the train (Trenitalia) is also a convenient choice. While from Pisa Airport the direct trains to Genoa are available at Pisa Central railway station which is only an 8 minute journey using the innovative «Pisa Mover».


  • Arrival by train:

The coast is served by the line Ventimiglia-Genova-La Spezia which extends the connections with the Costa Azzurra (Nice) and with the Tirrenian coast (Rome). The lines Genova-Torino and Genova-Milano connect the capital of Liguria with the North Italy and the whole Europe. The main train stations of Genova are "Genova Principe" and Genova "Brignole".   • Arrival by car:

There are motorways connecting Genova to: Riviera di Ponente: A10, Costa Azzurra: A10, Riviera di Levante: A12, Milano: A7, Torino and Valle d'Aosta: A26, which are in turn connected with the Italian and European network.
