TOPICS
Special session in maritime measurements on embedded instruments is focused on papers and presentations on the following topics:
- Usage of embedded systems for measurement in on/offshore applications;
- IoT systems for sea-borne applications;
- Sensors for low-power measurements in the sea environment;
- Hydroacoustic measurements and transducers at sea;
- Meteo measurements in restricted power availability with special respect to MetOCEAN buoys and relvenat;
- UAV, UAS, ROV, and other platforms as a carrier for edge computing and IoT nodes;
- Off and On-grid communications for measurement at sea concerning new waveforms and mesh communication;
- High power edge computing in the maritime environment;
- SoC and similar low-power architectures;
- High scalability and reliability applications of GNSS at sea concerning PNT and relevant GNSS-disabled areas;
- INS/IMU applications on the embedded devices;
- High-speed computations in a dynamic environment with AI and ML extensions;
- Usage of AI/ML for seaborn edge computations.
ABOUT THE ORGANIZER
Maciej Gucma, Engineer in MTE field - Marine Traffic Engineering. Specialist in full mission simulations, LNG operations on/offshore, plant and port design. GNSS & IoT for special purposes.
Professor at Maritime University of Szczecin in MTE, Ops, engineering human factors, civil engineering, programming of embedded devices, etc.
Ph.D. Eng. Rafał Gralak, adjunct professor at the Maritime University of Szczecin. Researcher in the field of electronics, VR, embedded systems, and traffic engineering. Currently focused on visualization of the ship in 3D using most modern techniques VR and AR. Graduated High Technical School in the field of electronics and mechatronics and the Maritime University of Szczecin with Honours. Ph.D. (2011) in the field of modern techniques of visualization for seaborn applications. Author and co-author of over 100 papers and R&D publications.
Phd. Eng. Assistant professor Marcin Przywarty, Maritime University of Szczecin, Faculty of Navigation, Department of Marine Traffic Engineering. Specializes in modeling of maritime traffic and systems in seaborn applications, environment protection means, and radio/navigational devices.
Ph.D. Eng Mateusz Bilewski, with a major in electronics at Szczecin University of Technology with honors. R&D adjunct professor at Maritime University of Szczecin where he leads work in the field of embedded systems, programming, and IoT device design.
Ph.D. Eng Bartosz Muczyński, with specialization in VR/AR/MR visualization. He received Ph.D. in 2023 in the field of eye tracking in marine simulations. At University teaches programming of microcontrollers for special marine applications. Personally love mountains and hiking and everything related
